Saturday 17th January 2026 in Nonthaburi, Thailand
We first met while attending the Alabama Partners in Amphibians and Reptile Conservation (ALAPARC) meeting at the Solon Dixon Forestry Education Center in the Conecuh National Forest, Alabama, USA. Putter was presenting his research on urban-dwelling lizards in Florida -- the same lizards Hannah grew up seeing and chasing. At the end of the conference, we went separate ways - Hannah back to the University of Georgia and Putter back to Auburn University. We exchanged contacts and said we'll keep in touch. We've been in touch since!
Friday 16th January
Traditional Buddhist merit making ceremony in the morning, which includes offering food to monks at the temple. This is followed by the water-pouring ceremony, a Thai wedding tradition.
Note: This event is primarily for family and close Thai friends. International guests are welcome but not expected to join this ceremony - please let us know in advance if you're interested and planning to attend.
For those arriving early and staying at the venue (which we recommend) or nearby, feel free to come join us for dinner at Suan Thip Restaurant. Suan Thip is a well-known restaurant serving up Royal Thai Cuisine in an idyllic setting next to the Chao Phraya River.
Saturday 17th January
For those staying at the hotel (that have not checked in the night before), you are welcome to check-in in the early afternoon. There will be ice cream as you wait around before the ceremony starts.
This is the main event!
Reception directly follows the wedding ceremony at the same venue.
